| UCF-Finance and Accounting has been using
TSHelper
since February 27, 2001, few months after the department
began using PeopleSoft timesheets. TSHelper is an Excel
spreadsheet that helps employees do their timesheets.
Each employee has his own copy of the TSHelper, which
he/she updates daily, weekly, or anytime it is needed.
Once in/out times are entered, TSHelper will compute the
total hours work automatically. When the timesheet
submission comes, employees will print their timesheet
and/or leave & exception reports using the TSHelper.
Supervisors and secretaries will always get clear and
readable timesheets because what they get from employees
are computer-generated printout. Once everybody gets used
to and become confident of TSHelper's accuracy, it really
saves time working on timesheets.
Other UCF departments are allowed to use the TSHelper with
Finance & Accounting consent. TSHelper is not for everybody.
It is for users who have access to a computer and have at
least basic knowledge in Microsoft Excel running on Windows 98
or later version. TSHelper has not been tested to work on Macintosh
machines but some users have said that it works fine on Mac.
TSHelper form layout, tables, and computations conform to UCF
Human Resources system. It
is not customizable. For changes that you want to
see on the form, please contact Human Resources.
Because of other projects lined up, no support will be given
as of the moment. FOR HELP, PLEASE CALL YOUR DEPARTMENT'S TECH
PERSON OR AN EXCEL EXPERT. Most problems can be solved by downloading
and using a fresh copy of TSHelper.

These versions were saved on Excel 2002 SP3 and were tested in
Excel 2000 running on Windows 2000. If you are using an older
version of Excel (Excel 97 or older) and have problem opening
the file, please ask somebody who has Excel 2000 or 2002 to save
copy of TSHelper to an Excel 97 format (File>Save As, then
change Save As Type to desired version).
Thank you for using the TSHelper. - Hector
Known
Issue: TSHelper Buttons/Controls moved to the left.
This has been fixed in TSHelper 2.0b version. Microsoft article
#838910 states that when you insert a control over a cell
in Microsoft Excel 2002, and then use Print Preview, the control
is repositioned when you return to worksheet view. This problem
occurs if you are using Microsoft Office 2002 Service Pack
3 (SP3). This problem does not occur in Office 2002 versions
that are earlier than SP3. |
